At first, two ignorant middle school students participated in the Jockey Club Project. They found that Hong Kong has been promoting environmental protection for many years, but it lacks a convenient and decent incentive mechanism to encourage citizens to recycle waste products such as plastic bottles, glass bottles and aluminium cans.
As a result, they established "AGM Technology, AGM Technology" in 2018, and launched the first related concept in Hong Kong - "Smart Environmental Recycling Bins" - these boxes are placed in all districts of Hong Kong, citizens only need to put in waste products, and then "Tap the card" to withdraw money. This simple and ingenious idea was unanimously favored by the judges.
But they never stopped. In the sixth year of Form 6, they were selected into the STEP program of the Science Park with this idea, received 100,000 Hong Kong dollars in venture capital, and became one of the start-ups in the Science Park. Relying on this money, they learned technology from scratch and learned from others online. It took them two years to turn their ideas into reality and made a "smart environmental protection recycling box".
After success, confusion also followed. The "recycling box" was not launched on the market as expected, and the future business has not yet been determined. Never wasted.
In recent years, teachers from different middle schools have learned of their technological prowess in competitions, and invited them to teach STEM courses in schools. At first, they were Aduino and MIT App Inventor. Later, they gradually accumulated experience and developed to the present. Different primary and secondary schools are committed to nurturing a new generation of technology talents in Hong Kong.
Now, AGM Tech has been moving forward with the development direction of STEM course promotion, government funding consultants and technology-related career promotion platforms.
